Tulips Simplified is an exploration of colour, shape and form.
Reducing the flower to its most essential elements, I have used bold outlines, simplified petals and a vibrant palette to create a work that feels playful, confident and contemporary.
Rather than focusing on botanical accuracy, I am interested in capturing the feeling and energy of the subject through colour and composition.
The bright blue vase anchors the painting while warm pinks, reds and oranges dance across the canvas, creating a sense of movement and joy. Influenced by Queensland light and my love of strong colour relationships, this work celebrates the beauty found in simplicity.
Part of my ongoing floral series, Tulips Simplified reflects my growing confidence as an artist and my willingness to trust intuition over perfection.
