About Gen Atkinson

Gen Atkinson is a self taught, brisbane based artist who only started selling her work in September 2025.

Her work is bold and bright with a strong focus on emotional investigation. 

Exploring emotions through art involves using colours, shapes, and lines to communicate feelings, as she leverages color psychology to evoke specific moods and reactions in viewers. Gen consciously choose colors, like warm reds for passion or cool blues for serenity, to create emotional landscapes in her work.

She is an avid gardener and is constantly inspired by the flowers and colours in her garden. 

Born and bred in Brisbane, she is a mother of three daughters. She works full time in Marketing.
