A celebration of colour, playfulness, and instinct, Miss Candy explores the joy of letting go and following what feels good. The fish becomes a canvas for layered pattern and bold combinations — each scale holding its own moment of colour, yet working together in harmony.
Set against a deep teal background, the work captures a sense of movement and lightness, like something drifting just beneath the surface. There is a childlike freedom in the marks and palette, balanced by a confident, intentional composition.
This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of bringing the same bold, expressive colour language across my painting, sculpture and jewellery practice — where joy, energy and individuality sit at the centre of everything I create. Every time I look at her, I just smile. She reminds me of weeks spent at Stradbroke Island or Broadbeach as a child. Love her
